The Bride of Shadows: A Horror Tale of Fear and Mystery
The Bride of Shadows: A Chilling Story of a Wife’s Dark Secret
The wedding was grand, and everyone admired MEHER'S grace. However, Faraz noticed something strange that night. While MEHER was sitting quietly in their room, her shadow on the wall moved, even though she remained still. He brushed it off as exhaustion from the day's events, convincing himself it was his imagination.
The Perfect Bride with a Dark Mystery
Days turned into weeks, and life seemed normal. MEHER was a perfect wife—attentive, polite, and always ready to help. But there were odd incidents that kept troubling Faraz. One night, he woke up to find MEHER sitting by the window, staring into the darkness, whispering in a language he couldn’t understand. When he asked her what she was doing, she smiled faintly and said she was praying.
Faraz’s unease grew when he began to notice that MEHER never ate with the family. She would always excuse herself, saying she wasn’t hungry or had already eaten. Her plate would remain untouched, but at night, Faraz would hear strange noises coming from the kitchen—like someone devouring food with wild ferocity.
A Midnight Encounter in the Forest
Panicked, Faraz returned home, pretending he had seen nothing. The next day, he confided in an elderly imam from the village, who listened carefully and warned him: “Your wife is not an ordinary human. She belongs to another world.” The imam advised Faraz to confront her but with caution.
That night, Faraz mustered all his courage and asked MEHER directly, "Who are you? What are you hiding from me?"
MEHER'S face turned pale, and her once soft eyes darkened. A chilling smile spread across her lips as she spoke, You wanted a wife, Faraz, but you didn’t ask who or what I was. I am bound to you now, but I am not from your world.
Faraz froze in terror as her appearance began to change. Her delicate hands turned into claw-like fingers, her eyes glowed a fiery red, and her shadow expanded, engulfing the room. The air filled with a deafening roar, and Faraz felt the ground beneath him tremble.
I didn’t choose this, MEHER continued, her voice echoing unnaturally. I was fated to live among humans, tied through marriage. But you dared to question me, and now you must face the truth.
Faraz fell to his knees, praying desperately. Suddenly, the imam’s words came to his mind: Recite AYAT-UL-KURSI if you ever feel trapped. With a trembling voice, Faraz began reciting the verses. MEHER let out a blood-curdling scream as her form began to dissolve into black smoke.
The next morning, MEHER was gone, leaving behind no trace. Faraz left the village soon after, vowing never to marry again. The villagers say that on moonless nights, a shadowy figure roams near the dead tree, waiting for her next groom. Would you dare to meet her?
