The Graveyard: A Family Haunted by Dark Forces
The Graveyard Curse: A Family's Struggle with Unseen Forces
ASSALAM O ALIKUM I am SHEHZANA with a new story. If you like it, please follow, thank you.
We had a small family: my mother, father, me, and my little sister. We lived in a small flat and my father had a government job. After some time, my father got promoted, so we moved from that flat to a bigger house.
The house was a bit old but very spacious, with large rooms and a big courtyard. We were all very happy to move into such a big house. Days passed and we happily lived in that house.
One day, while cleaning the house, my mother found a very beautiful anklet which she liked a lot and wore on her foot. After that, she continued with her chores. Days passed, and a new member joined our family, my little brother was born. We were all very happy. There was a strange mark on my brother’s back which we didn’t understand at that time.
Anyway, my brother turned four years old, but he was a bit strange. He didn’t laugh, play, or talk like normal kids. He would just look at the ceiling and smile, mostly staying quiet. Gradually, his behavior became more peculiar. He started eating insects that crawled on the ground. Whatever insect he saw, he would eat it. When the family tried to stop him, he would scream like an animal. His hunger and this habit increased day by day, and we couldn’t stop him. He would collect and eat insects like a madman.
My mother cried a lot seeing him. She didn’t know what to do. She was crazy about him. She let him be as he was. His habit kept increasing and now he only ate insects. My father got scared seeing all this and they had an argument. My father said that we should take him to a doctor, but my mother was not willing to accept that her son was mad. My little sister and I were very scared, watching everything from a corner.
The next day, my father picked up my little brother to take him to the hospital, but my mother attacked him and injured him, then locked herself in the room with my brother. My father tried to reason with her, but she didn’t listen. Eventually, my father also remained silent in front of my mother’s stubbornness. My brother was becoming more like an animal day by day, and my mother would smile while looking at him.
The next morning, when we woke up, my sister was missing. She was not in the house. We searched everywhere but couldn’t find her. My father was very worried while my mother was calmly watching TV. My father yelled at my mother, asking, "Where is Nisha?" Nisha is my sister's name. My mother replied, "I don’t know." My father angrily moved towards my brother, and Atif (my brother) smiled and pointed towards the backyard.
My father and I rushed to the backyard and saw that now Nisha was also eating insects from the ground like my mother and brother. She started laughing when she saw us, her laughter was very scary. We understood that Nisha had also become like them.
My father loved Nisha very much. He was very worried about why this was happening. Since we had moved into this house, these problems had started. My father told his friend about all this. When his friend investigated the house, he found out that it was built on a graveyard and was haunted.
My father brought a well-known cleric to our house. The cleric inspected the entire house and looked at my mother. My mother, brother, and sister glared at the cleric angrily. The cleric told my father to step outside with him. My father followed the cleric, who explained, "Your wife and children are all possessed by spirits. Your wife has to remove the anklet she is wearing, and you must leave this house for them to return to normal."
My father asked, "How will I do all this?" The cleric replied, "I will perform a ritual and give you a thread. Wear it and you will be safe, but remember, the thread should neither come off nor break. If it breaks, your life could be in danger."
The next day, my father wore the thread and went home. My sister, brother, and mother were scared of him and ran away. The cleric was performing the ritual outside, making the spirits weak. My father managed to remove the anklet from my mother’s foot and threw it away. Immediately, he brought my mother, sister, and brother outside the house. The cleric performed a ritual, locked the house, and trapped the spirits inside. As soon as this was done, my mother, sister, and brother became normal again. We moved to another city and now we are living happily. The mark on my brother’s back has also disappeared.
