This story is about Adnan’s family living in Karachi. Adnan belonged to a middle-class family. His family included his elderly mother, his wife Seema, and his 8-year-old daughter. Adnan loved his daughter very much.
Adnan's daughter, Ayesha, had an upcoming birthday, and she wanted a big doll for her birthday. Adnan never refused his daughter anything, but he didn’t have enough money to buy her a new doll as a gift. He thought that he could find an imported doll for cheap in the flea market, where second-hand items are sold.
The next day, Adnan went to the flea market and after searching for a while, he finally found a very beautiful big imported doll. He liked the doll at first sight and bought it. He thought of surprising his daughter with it on her birthday. He brought the doll home and hid it.
When Ayesha’s birthday arrived, she asked her dad, Adnan, for a gift. When Adnan gave her the doll, Ayesha was overjoyed, hugged her dad, and went off to play with her friends and the doll.
There was something oddly captivating about the doll; whoever saw it couldn't take their eyes off it. Ayesha now played only with that doll. One of her friends, LAIBA, who had long hair and was very cute, also came to play with the doll. LAIBA started coming to Ayesha’s house every day to play with the doll.
When Ayesha was busy elsewhere, LAIBA would start talking to the doll as if the doll was responding to her. Ayesha’s mother noticed that LAIBA often talked to the doll, and it seemed like the doll was responding, but she dismissed it as her imagination.

A few days passed, and LAIBA started coming every day but didn't want to go back home. She just wanted to play with the doll. LAIBA became increasingly stubborn and refused to go home. One day, LAIBA’S mother slapped her and tried to forcibly take her home, but LAIBA wouldn't budge. When her mother pulled her harder, LAIBA, in a changed, manly voice, said, "I’m not going anywhere, I want to play with the doll."
This stunned both LAIBA’S and Ayesha’s families. They couldn’t understand how a little girl could speak in a manly voice. When LAIBA’S mother tried to force her, LAIBA threw her mother, injuring her. Everyone was shocked by LAIBA’S strength.
The families realized that something evil had affected LAIBA, but they still didn’t know that the source of the problem was the doll. LAIBA'S behavior grew stranger, and she took Ayesha’s doll home. Given LAIBA'S condition, Ayesha’s family allowed her to take the doll.
LAIBA stayed in her room all day with the doll. Despite consulting many religious scholars, LAIBA’S condition worsened.
One day, LAIBA’S mother saw the doll talking to LAIBA, who was sitting scared in a corner. When her mother tried to help her, she was stopped by an unseen force. She couldn’t move or speak. She wanted to help LAIBA but was immobilized and eventually fainted.
When LAIBA’S mother regained consciousness, she ran to LAIBA’S room. The door was locked, so she called for help. People gathered and broke down the door. They found LAIBA lifeless on the floor, her skin turned blue as if all blood had drained from her body. LAIBA was dead.
Her mother noticed that the doll was no longer in the room. They searched everywhere but couldn't find the doll. After LAIBA’S death, her mother told Ayesha’s family that the doll used to talk to LAIBA. Ayesha’s mother admitted that she had noticed it too but had ignored it, thinking it was her imagination.
After LAIBA'S death, the doll disappeared. Both LAIBA’S and Ayesha’s mothers searched everywhere, but the doll was nowhere to be found.
The doll, possessed by an evil spirit or demon, was now looking for another victim. It was seen sitting on a bench in a children's park. The doll would choose a child it liked and then kill them. It had liked LAIBA, so it killed her but did not harm Ayesha. The doll only killed children it favored.
By the time LAIBA’S family realized the truth, it was too late. LAIBA had already lost her life. LAIBA’S mother lost her sanity and now roams in search of the doll.
